Originally formed in 1984 DÉTENTE may be best known as one of the first bands to Crossover Thrash Metal with Punk influences. Politically charged lyrics are screamed out with a vengeance, and despite the intensity and heaviness of DÉTENTE, the musicianship of the band is exceptional, leaving DÉTENTE a unique band in extreme music. Reformed in 2007 and with the new studio offering DECLINE due in 2010 the band continues to refine its sound and question authority.
